　By the end of August 2024, there was a total of 241,867 businesses and corporations registered in Taipei City, increase by 1.63% from August 2023. Most of them were wholesale and retail trade industries that amounted to 55,737 (23.04%), followed by professional, scientific and technical services industries amounted to 35,556(14.7%), manufacturing industries with 28,986 (11.98%).

　There were 1,308 newly registered businesses and corporations in August 2024, the majority of which concentrated in professional, scientific and technical services industries, wholesale and retail trade industries, and financial and insurance services industries. Among them, the most were in professional, scientific and technical services industries, which amounted to 285 (21.79%).
