The Statistics for Taipei City Businesses and Corporations Registration in May, 2024
By the end of May 2024, there was a total of 241,223 businesses and corporations registered in Taipei City, increase by 1.8% from May 2023. Most of them were wholesale and retail trade industries that amounted to 55,992 (23.21%), followed by professional, scientific and technical services industries amounted to 35,241 (14.61%), manufacturing industries with 28,987 (12.02%). There were 1,422 newly registered businesses and corporations in May 2024, the majority of which concentrated in professional, scientific and technical services industries, wholesale and retail trade industries, and financial and insurance services industries. Among them, the most were in professional, scientific and technical services industries, which amounted to 274 (19.27%).
