Maokong is the most accessible mountain suburb in Taipei City. Walking among Camphor Tree, Camphor Lake, and Chin-Nan Temple Hiking Trails, you can see lots of common animals in mid to low altitude areas in Taiwan, like horsetails, Swinhoe's snails, Swinhoe's frogs, Swinhoe's japalura, a perfect place for field trips for students.
